(Received June 29, 12.30 p.m.)
STOCKHOLM, 28th June.
M. Itacha, Secretary to.the Duma, in an interview, said that . Russia's object was to get a seaward route through the Dardanelles. Possibly Sweden, after the war, would receive as a gift the Aland Islands. A German market in Russia would be impossible after the war.
[The Aland Islands are at the entrance to the Gulf of Bothnia, the largest being situated about 23 miles from the Swedish coast. The islands, formerly Swedish, were taken possession of by Russia in 1809.]
