PETONE WORKSHOPS LIBRARY

At the annual meeting of the Petone Workshops Library (Mr. J. Andrews presiding), the committee's report showed that over SO per cent, of the members were serving their King and country. Ninety-three new books had been placed in circulation during tho half-year, and 208 for the year. \

Tho following officers were elected: — President, Mr. S. P Evans; vice-presi-dents. Messrs. Bargh, Sherwin, M'CalFery, Hutchinson, and Weir; secretary, Mr A. P. Godber; treasurer, Mr. D. Neilson; librarians, Messrs. Lawrence and Kingi; trustees, Messrs Silver and M'Bride; auditors, Messrs. Strong and Hodger; provisional committee, Mr B. Dolby; committee, Messrs. Tregear, W. Taylor, Eiffe, Cairns, W. L. Smith, J. Andrews, and R. Cunlifie.
