MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION
NO CONFERENCE THIS YEAR.
Inthe ordinary course of events the biennial. conference of the Municipal . Association would be held this year: but, in view of .the circumstances at present obtaining, it has been decided that it is noi advisable to hold the gathering. The most important business of the conference is usually in relation ,to legislation, but this year the sessK.n of Parli?ment will be short, and the bnsiness dealt with of a restricted nature. In place of. the conference, ,the executive of the association will meet in Wellington on 19th May to deal with such remits as have come to hand, and to consider other questions relating to thelegislation of the session w it conccroji saunicipaJitief
