LABOUR NOTES
Censure of the Labour Government in New Soath Wales by the Labour League, which! may be said to be the industrial Parliament of the State, was not a surprise to people who follow-Aus-tralian; politics. For some time an industrial section, disappointed with the Labour Parliaments, and particjlirJy with "Mr. Holman, has been gaining ir. strength. Outspoken utterances by the State Premier have not relieved the situation. This discontented section of the party has held 'that, though faced by great difficulties, the Holman Government should have brought its performance more closely into line with its plat: form, particularly in the matter of the abolition of tho Second Chamber. To the outsider it was plain that the dissatisfaction must come to a head; perhaps to give the Liberal Party a turn in power, while Labour consolidated its forces anew in oppisition; perhaps t.o leave Labour in power with a. new leader.
