NAPIER,. 24th April. The Waipukurau Races were held today in fine weather, with a large crowd. The totalisator registered £13,951, against £16,430 last year. Results : — Maiden Race.—s Morning, 1; 1 India, 2; 3 Woodlark, 3. Won by one length. Time, lmin 33 4-ssec. Scratched : The Guide, Eddepic, Tipa Tipa, Black Powder, Bradie, Atuatora, Zannone, Belgian Maid. Easter Handicap.—3 The Summit and 6 Whakahoki, a dead-heat, 1; 1 Kooya, 3. Time 2min 2 2-ssec. Hack Handicap.—3 Fore, 1; 6 Amical, 2; 2 Hinemanu, 3. Won by a length. Time, 2min 2 2-ssec. Scratched : Sailor King. Waipukurau Handicap.—2 Rupahu, 1; 1 Indigo, 2; 4 The Summit, 3. Time, 2min 12 3-ssec. Won easily. Scratched: Kooya, Tavistock, Jem, Sicily. Two-Year-Old Handicap.—9 Powder King, 1; 2 Sarah Grand, 2; 1 Lady Kilworth, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 6 l-ssec.
