EASTER HOLIDAYS
THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS.
Easter this year will be a comparatively quiet holiday, there being but a few special attractions. To-morrow ■ evening there will bo a special organ recital by tho City Organist in tho Town Hall, and a concert by tho Professional orchestra at His Majesty's Theatre. At the picture theatres special programmes will bo screened. On Saturday afternoon, tho New Zealand Natives' Association has arranged >i gala to bo held at Athletic Park, the piincipal feature of which will bo a burlesque, football match between ladies and soldiers in hobbled skirts. Tho Wellington golf links at. Hereraunga will be opened. At T.auherenikau tho Wairarapn liacing Club's Meeting will be held, and will be continued on Monday. The Kdu-. cational ailil Poultry Conferences will also open in Wellington on Saturday. In the ■ironing tho Royal Strollers will commence their season at ' the Opera House, and " Our British Navy," a special series of naval pictures, will be serened for tho (inn. time at the Town Hall. Vaudeville at His Majesty's and pictures at the various .theatres will bo other attractions. lOastor services will be conducted in various churches on Sunday, and in the evening tho Tramway Band will give its first concert of the season at His Majesty's Theatre. There will be racing at Tauherenikau and Foilding on Monday. Tuesday will be obsened strictly as an Anzao Memorial Day. There will be a. memorial service at the Town Hall in the afternoon, and a patriotic meeting hi the evening. ■ Special train arrangements have been advertised, including an extra express clearing for Auckland at 8.30 p.m. today, it, addition to extra trains to-day on both the Manawatu and Wairarapa lines. For Good Friday and Kaater Monday the ordinary railway time-tables have been suspended. The Eastbourne Borough Council has provided a convenient service for people desiring to spend their holidays across the harbour. Tho Y.M.C.A. Boys' Division has arranged a camp for its junior members at Waikanae. Over 100 boys are expected to bo under canvas.
