A very successful practice of the songs to be sung at the unfurling of the Railway flag at Petone on Anzac Day was held this morning. Nearly 1000 children from Petone JJ.IT., Petone West, Convent, and Koro Koro Schools were present, under the conductorship of Mr. Foster, and . everything points to the singing of the children being a pleasant feature of the function. . A meeting was held at the Eailway Workshops yesterday, a.nd . was addressed by Messrs. Sherwin and 11. Moore, when final arrangements were made for the ceremony. The railway employees have been granted half a day's holiday on pay, so that they might all be present. ,Xhe platform for the speakers has already been erecty ed, and the children's stand will be built on Easter Monday. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will hold a salo of household furniture at their rooms, 151-3, Ln.'jnbton-aunv. fco-morrow, lat 1.30 p.m.
