WELLINGTON OLUB

Mr. D. K. Blair occupied the chair at the annual meeting of the Wellington Swimming Club held last evening. In the report it was stated that the club started the year £20 in arrears1 and finished £11 in credit. Mr. Grimmett's work on behalf of the juniors was favourably commented upon. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. J P. Maxwell; vice-presidents, Sir Robert Stout, Hon. A. L. Herdman, Hon. J. G W. Aitken, and Messrs. W. E. Jackson, W. Cowan. J. P. Firth ; J. P. Luke, J 'Fuller, D K. Blair, and H. Price; captain, Mr R. J. Grimmett; vice-captain, Mr- A. M.. Ruesell; hon. secretary, "Mr. A. 15. Boilard; treasurer, Mr. A. M. Farnall; auditor, Mr. E. H. Cavell; sta-Tt-er, MrA. Jacobs; check starter, Mr. A. A. Somerville; handicapper, Mr. A. Jacobs; committee, Messrs. A. Kelly, W Meyer, A. A. Somerville, H. Sullivan, A. M'CarHo; delegate to centre, Mr. T Shields. Seven new members were elected.
