PATEENA'S CREW
VESSEL STILL IN PORT.
Tha Union Company"! steamer Pateena has not yet obtained her stokehold crew. Men have refused to sign on unless, instead of three trimmers the boat carriss three extra firemen. The statement was made yesterday tliat the crew of the Mapourika, which is continuing in the Nelson-Picton-Wellington run, had given notice of their intention to leave at Wellington; but this proved to be incorrect. Only one man left the vessel and his place was. soon filled.
