PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS

Hon. Lieut. R. H. Williams lias been temporarily appointed Assistant Director of Equipment and Ordnance Stores, and to carry out the duties performed by ■tbj Q.M.G. (3). Major W. K. Pinwell, 1.G.5., now serving with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, has been classed 2nd Grade Geueral Staff Officer in the British Aimy. Gapt. R. B. Smythe, N.Z.S.C., has User, graded for purposes of pay as General SUIT Officer, 3rd Grade. ■ ; Lieut.-Go]. W. G. Duthie, Reserve of Officers, lias been appointed to temporarily command the sth (Wellington) Regiment during the absence of Lieut.-Col. C. H.
