pation in the Allies' compact not to conclude peace separately. Leading writers give much attention to the results of the war as they may affect Japan, and the character of Japanese representation at the Peace Conference.
Baron Shlodzu. who recently returned from a visit to the South Seas, emphasises Ms view' that the islands which were won from Germany will represent additions to the Japanese Empire. '
