(PRESS ASSOCIATION.) MORE TORPEDO BOATS SUNK. LONDON, 16th October. Reuter's Copenhagen correspondent states that the evening papers report that another German torpedo-boat was sunk on Thursday afternoon by submarine El 9, near 'Faro Island" (a small, island north of Falster Island). The German flotilla which was in action on Wednesday was returning with reinforcements, when fishermen heard an explosion and saw a great column of water rise. A second torpedo-boat disappeared, and the flotilla again hurried off. The News Exchange correspondent telegraphs from Copenhagen that there is no official news of the naval action, as it was fought three-quarters of a mile „ from the land. Nothing certain was known. A fisherman declares that he sawsome ships disappear after cannonading. Another Copenhagen message states that a British submarine was attacked in The Sound. The submarine fired shells at a torpedo-boat, which was sunk. MIGHT HAVE BEEN A MINE. (Received October 18, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, 17th October. A semi-official message from Berlin. says that the story of the supposed sinking of a German torpedo-boat off Moen Island is probably based on the explosion of a mine.
