BROOKLYN HARRIERS' REUNION

To mark the close of the season, a pleasant reunion was held on Saturday evening in connection with the Brooklyn Harriers' Club. The function, which was well attended, took the form of a "social" and dance, the following contributing items : — Messrs. Bennett, Green, L. Power, and Misses . Cairns,, Mason, and Stewart. Items were also given by an orchestra under the baton of Mr. M'Laughlin. The presentation of trophies was made by the president, Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., as follows:— Wellington Provincial Cross-country's Championship Shield, won by the club's A team ; the Cooke Cup, won by A. C. .Clapham ; and the trophy, won by the club champion, N. Cummins. Other prize-winners were : — J. Douglas, P. Harvey, H. Edhouse, W. Coop, and H. Mio. Following the presentation of trophies, eacb member of the ladies' committee, namely, Mesdames Hatton and Hoverd, and Misses Clark and Fulton, was the recipient of the club's gold badge, made up into a brooch, as a token of the club's appreciation of their services. Mr. Stewart, pianist, was presented with a travelling bag. The toast of "The Boys at the Front" and supper followed, and dancing terminated an enjoyable evening.
