GROCERS DISPJTE
SETTLED WITH WAGES UCREASE. The Conciliation Council, nder the chairmanship of Mr. P Hall;, Conciliation Commissioner, has arrivd a t an agreement in the grocers' indutrial dispute. The agreement, which wil be submitted_ to the Arbitration Cout to be made into a new award, provide, for an increase in the minimum wage rom £2 10s per week to £2 12s 6d at 21 ears of age, and £2 17s 6d at 22. This brings Wellington into line with Aickland in the grocery trade. Holidays, hours, and other conditions are practicalv unaltered. y
