FIGHTING IN THE VOSGES GERMAN MOVE AGAINST WARSAW WHAT THE ENEMY HOPES TO DO HOLLAND'S NEUTRALITY BULGARIA AND TURKEY BREAK OFF NEGOTIATIONS
The question of the duration of the war is being 'dis- , cussed interestingly, particularly in Britain and America. Paris reports that an enemy attempt on the Fontenoy, sector failed after a lot of big-gun ammunition had been used, and that in other places German attacks were practically resultless. Regarding the Austro-German new offensive against the Russians, it is reported from Amsterdam th»t there are four army corps at Thorn, West Prussia, ready to move on • the Lowicz-Prasnysz front. The Russians have moved to a better position on the right bank of the River Narew. Important news regarding the enemy offensive against Warsaw is to hand. The Italians continue their successful offensive in places mentioned in the cables. The Austrians claim to have repulsed several Italian battalions near Ruffreddo with heavy losses. Pourparlers between Bulgaria and Turkey have been broken off.
