Tbe. run by the Wellington Harriers Club was from, Islaakt Bay towards Happy Valley and the'height*"overlooking Brooklyn. E. Eagle acted as pacemaker. A teams' race home was won by the captain's team, with the secretary's second, Culverwell, Donaldson, and W. B. Bennett, taking the leading places. The Palmer Cup will be competed for by the club next Saturday, from. Minimal: tram terminus. SCOTTISH HARRIERS. • The Scottish Harriers held their Mtreemile scaled handicap race at Miramar on Saturday. There were seven starters, and the first three to finish were R. Balkntyne, S.- Hall, and E. Welsh. On the. adjustment of handicaps tb« position 1 was : R. Ballantyne (ecrj, running time 17min 34sec, 1; S. Hall (15eec), lTmitt, 59sec, 2; W. Ballantyne (140' sec)', 21min , 14 2-sacc, 3. \ BROOKLYN CLUB. Over twenty members took part in the Brooklyn Harriers' run from Bellevue Gardens' on Saturday. The trail was laid by H. Mio and H. Edhouse,, ov«. v a distance o£ about five miles, with many ! obstacles. F. Harlen, captain, led the ! pack, with P- Smith as pacemaker. 1 Another pack of men on the scratch ; mark was led hy_P. Harvey. The run home was wan by Exton, with Molloy i and G. Douglas, close up. Next Satuii day the five-mile race for the Cooke Cup I will be run-at Miramar. In the evening * a hard-up dance, to which members of | other clubs are invited, will be held in the club-room.
