SPREAD OF MEASLES
♦ The spread of the epidemic at Trentham is indicated in a return presented to the House of Representatives, on the motion of Mr. T. A. H. field (Nelson). The figures show that the number of men on the strength of the camp who contracted measles from Ist January to 30th June was 713. One case was re2K>rted in December last, 8 in January, 4 in February, 6 in March. 20 in April, 183 in May, and 492 in June. Eighteen men died between 29th December and 2nd July, 12 of them of pneumonia, following on measles.
