A " trolley car at Toronto, containing 180 persons, was returning from a Sunday School picnic, when it jumped the tracks at Queenstown. Fourteen persons were killed, and eighty injured, several fatally. The trolley jumped the wire, and the brakes refused to act. The car ran madly down' hill. It took two curves successfully, but left the tracks at the third. It hit a trolley pole, turned turtle, and fell over an embankment. At a level crossing near Tunstall Station, a goods train wrecked a wagonette containing George Blood, his wife, and three children. In the Probate Court the hearing of an action arising out of the £50,000 will _of the late Thomas Curran, a Britiph M.P., formerly of New South Wales, was concluded. The plaintiff, George Curran, propounded the 1905 will. The defendants were the eldest son, Thomas, and James, who alleged that their father was not of sound mental capacity, aoid asked the Court to pronounce the 1902 will valid. The jury returned a. verdict that Curran was mentally sound when he executed the 1905 will, and his wife had not exercised undue influence. Judgment was given accordingly,
