THE HURRYING KAISER
NEARLY LOSES HIS LIFE. BELGIAN BRIDGE DESTROYED. STOCKHOLM, 27th June. The. newspapers narrate that an attempt was made on tho Kaiser's life in Belgium in the beginnipg of May. , A railway bridge was blown up, and the Imperial train had just time to pull up in order to avert a catastrophe. The Germans declare that the bridge had been mined at the beginning of the > war, and that the explosion was accidental, but numerous German soldiers were arrested.
