MILITARY STOP STRIKES. AMSTERDAM, 27th June. With a view to overcoming threatened strikes for higher wages in some of the German towns, the military intervened and compelled the men to finish their contracts, forbidding employers to engage unionists who had deserted their unfinished jobs.
