SLY GROG-SELLING
(II TELEGRAPH.— rRIiBS üBBOCUTIeN.) ASHBURTON, 25th June. Consequent ' on a. recent raid, Gideon Scott was to-day charged with sly grog' selling within the no-licenso' district of Ashburton. He pleaded guilty, and havingbeen fined for similar offence on a previous occasion, wa* convicted and sentenced to three 'months' imprisonnient, without the option.
