CARTHAGE. The week's return for the Carthago gold mine is 14oz 15dwt amalgam for 12 shifts. POST AND TELEGRAPH CRICKET CLUB ♦ The annual smoke concert and reunion of members of the Post and Telegraph Stores Cricket Club was held on Thursday. _ Mr. C. B. Mann presided. A very enjoyable time was spent, niu merous muacal items being given in conjunction with a lengthy toast' list. Messrs. J. M'Ardle, S. Heal. S. Barland, and C. Clarkson gave items^ and prizes were presented to the following : — D. Cameron, for batting, third bowl« ing average, and highest score; H. A. Johnston, second batting and Becond bowling averages; F. Marshall, third batting and first bowling averages; W. Young, batting average, B. Benson second, and J. Carr third ; \V Brownlee, wicket-keeping; J. Looney, best attendance at practices ; R. Kelly, most number of catches; and L. D. Bourke most improved junior player. A presentation was made to the secretary and treasurer (Mr. F Sutherland) ill recognition of his services to the club.
