LABOUR MARKET
Throughout New Zealand, according to reports received by the Labour Department, the labour market is in a position as satisfactory as at a corresponding period last year. In some instances the conditions have been better, but at preseni Christchurch is an exception. Unemployment is not serious, except among unskilled labourers in one or two dis* tricts, and where the men are prepared to take Government work away from their own locality their cases Jvre being dealt with satisfactorily.
