PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY

The meeting of the Wellington Philosophical Sooiety, to be held at the Dominion Museum m to-morrow evening, will be o_f special interest to all lovers of Maori history, traditions, and art. Subjects oonneoted with the native race •will be treated, by two who are recognised as authorities _ thereon. Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P V will deliver a paper entitled "A Renew of Maori Art," illustrating his remarks with numerous selected exhibits and examples. Mr. Elsdon Best has chosen for his paper "The Maori as a Voyager." Members are invited to bring their friends.
