INDIAN WHEAT EXPORT
WORKING OF CONTROL SCHEME. (Received^ June 5, 1.20 p.m.) SIMLA, 4th June. The Control of the Wheat Exports Schemers working successfully. The total exports to 29th May amount to over 112,000 tons. The final wheat forecast, published on 27th May, indicates that 32,250,000 acres are under wheat, yielding twelve bushels per acre, a total yield of over 10,500,000 tons.' The prices are reduced to give the cultivators a reasonable profit, and freights are engaged by the Indian Wheat Committee in London at rates appreciably below those chartered J^_ln.dian flhifinerp.., .
