THE USE OF BRITISH CAPITAL. SYDNEY, 4th -June. The British Immigration League has resolved to appeal to the Imperial authorities to make it clear to the Empire that at the close^ of the war a definite effort would be made to conserve British capital for the employment of British workers throughout the Dominions, that British interests be not sacrificed to the preservation of the trade relationships) hitherto existing with enemy countries, that the free investment of British capital in the manufactures of enemy countries prior to the war made it possible for our enemies to create the stupendous armaments now used against us, and that a firm policy be adopted by the British Government in future to prevent the recurrence of such a danger.
