The course is in good order and the attendance large. Results :—: — Maiden Hack Handicap, of 75 soys ; six furlong*.-— Pink Heather 1, Achilleus 2, British Rose 3. Won by a short neck. Ugbrooke Welter, of 100 soys; seven furlongs. Montana, 8.4, 1 ; Want, 8.12, 2; Achilledes, 9.10, 3. Scratched : Altcar, Evadne, and Munje. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 30 1-5 sec. Electric Hack Handicap, of 100 soys; seven furlongs.— Excitement, 8.10, 1; Multoe, 7.8, 2; Coropet, 7.7, 3. Scratched : Lady Vladimir, Elopement, and Kirikau. Won by a length.' Time, lmin 4sec B. Deeley, who was engaged to ride at th? meeting, is suffering from pneumonia, and is in the hospital.
