This morning broke fine, and Wellington people are revelling in a flood of sunshine euch as they have not experienced for some days. The barometer is high, and in exposed places the sun. has been a little too hot to be pleasant. There have been strong easterly winds northward of Now Plymouth and East Cape, and moderate to strong easterly and south-easterly breezes elsewhere. Rain has been good in most parts of the North Island. Tho forecast is for changeable and showery weather northward of Kawhia. and East Cape, and fair to cloudy weather elsewhere.
