CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALE (BY TELEGRAPH -PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
CHRISTCHURCH, Bth March. An extra wool sale was held in Alexandra Hall to-day, when 900 bales were offered to a fair attendance of buyers. The offerings included a few clips, but Were mostly made up of odd lots, and some lambs' wool crutchings and locks. There was a good demand, local wool buyers bidding freely for scouring lots, and two Home buyers Were the principal bidders among the oversea representatives. The top prices were: Merino ll|d, halfbred 14id, Corriedale 14£ d, throequarterbred 15d, crossbred 13^d, lambs 13id, crutchings lOd, Corriedale pieces 13jd. The top price of the sale was 15d for three-quarterbred of " Inchbonnie " clip, the halfbred wool of the same clijp making 14^d. The Ihchbohhie Station is on the West Coast.
