THE SHIPBUILDING STRIKE. (Received March 8, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 7th March. The conference between representatives of the employers and the workers at Sheffield has not arrived at an agreement regarding* the Clyde dispute, and has referred the matter to the Govern' ment for arbitration. The workers at Southampton shipyards will get an increase of 5s per week and 10 per cent, on piecework from the 13th met. The employers will confer on Tuesday next.
