ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
In connection with the celebration of St. Patrick's Day, an effort is being made by Che committee responsible to arrange an attractive procession. Tableaux and interesting events in the lustory of Ireland will be introduced, and the school children, Hibernians, St. Patrick's College Cadet Corps, and Catholic clubs will take part. The Natives' Association Band will lead the procession. Besides other attractions at Newtown Park, a solo singing competition has been arranged for children attending the Catholic schools. In the evening the Irish national concert promises to be excellent. The committee has secured the services of Miss Mildred Wrighton.
A lecture will be given on Wednesday evening by Mr. Harry Barnard, of London (representative of Messrs. Josiah Wedgwood and Sons, Ltd., Etruria, Staffordshire, England, who is on a tour round Australasia), entitled, " Josiah Wedgwood, F.R.S., Master Potter, His Life and Work," illustrated with a collection of lantern slides, and a cinematO' graph film which will take the audience through the historic old works, showing the processes of manufacture. The Natives' Association Band will play a, programme of music at the Botanic to-morrow .fliternoo'
