Sir, — In a recent number of an American paper, m Inch 1 have just received, 1 noticed that the regulations of the Board of Education of Washington City (the capital of the United States, population 331,000)_. requires all teachers in the public schools to teach the Ton Com* manclments. Sir. ap. Christian, Jew, and followers of Mahomet are all agreed upon the Ten Commandment — the first code in our Britieh Domesday 800k — it is regrettable that these great laws of Moses should not be taught here to our children as part of their education. In eveiy British country in the world, except three, the Ten Commandments are taught in the State schools. I heard a Roman Catholic priest say that the&o ten laws are "the essence of the Bible."
