Grace, 6-4, 6-2 ; J. A. B. Howe defeated Rout, 6-4, 8-6; D. Grace defeated Schaab, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4; H. V. Howo defeated Goble, 6-1, 6-0; Reeves defeated
Warsaw, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 ; Butcher defeated D. Grace, 6-2, 6-2. Ladies' Singles. — Miss Hunt defeated Miss Morgan, 6-3, 6-1. NEWTOWN v. JOHNSONVILLB. In the Junior Grade match, Newtown v. Johnsonville, played at Newtown, the home team won by six rubbers to nil. The scores were as follow, the nnmes of tlip Nowtown playnrs being mentioned first in every instance :— Singles: Allison defeated A. Moore, 6-3, 6-2 ; Pratfc defeated J. Moore, 6-2, 6-4; Jonos defeated Mills. 6-3, 6-2; Bowen defeated Carter, 63, 6-5. Doubles : Pratt and Allison defeated A. and J. Moore. 6-4, 62 ; Jones and Bowen defeated Milla and Carter, 6-2, 6-1.
