SATURDAY'S GAMES The weather was not too pleasant for bowling on Saturday, but the greens were in good order, and some enjoyable games were played. The following re- j suits have come to hand :—: — PAST v. PRESENT. Six rinks, composed of past members of the Newtown. Club and now playing for other clubs, met and defeated six rinks of present members, who were contemporary with a majority of the "pasts." The score* were :—: — Past— Sunley, Sir E. 0. Gibbes, G. NEWTOWN. A two-rink friendly game played between the above clubs on the suburban, green ended in a draw. Scores: — Newtown : S. E. Luke, J. Roberts, J. Russell, W. H. The annual competition between the Wellington, Lower Butt, and Wanganui Clubs for the Duthie Cup will be held on 15th February at Wanganui. Ilamerton Badges. — A challenge game for the Hamerton Badges was played on Saturday afternoon. The holders, Bolton, Besant, Hobday, Hunt (skip), 17, lost to Keith, S. L. Partridge, Townsend, and Vosseler (skip), 24. NEWTOWN CLUB. The Newtown teams for Wednesday, in the Friendly v. Lyall Bay game, are : Horne — Crengel.
