JAPANESE FRIENDSHIP
STRENGTHENED BY THE WAR. (Received December 8, 1.30 p.m.) TOKIO, 7th December. The Emperor, in opening the Diet, said that the cordial alliance of Japan with Britain and the ententes with France and Russia had been cemeted at the present critical stage by the stronger bonds of friendship.
