ALLIES PREPARING AN ATTACK
REINFORCEMENTS AT DIXMUDE (Received November 23, 9.15 a.m.) . t . „ . , PARIS, 22nd November. Large reinforcements are collecting for an attack via Dixmude, where small German forces are entrenched. The British artillery foiled every attempt of the enemy to plant their batteries. - V ARIS, 2lßt November. Official— The fighting consists mainly of artillery duels in the north. We repulsed two infantry attacks at Hollebeke, six miles south-east of Ypres. The superiority of our artillery at the Aisne is accentuated by its preventing the Germans from completing new trenches. We have also destroyed the German trenches in tho Argonne. We have made progress near Verdun, and also in the Voages.
