Richardson, of the New Zealand Staff -Corps, has been appointed lieutenant-colonel m the Royal Marihes. [Major G. S. Richardson came to New Zealand originally as an artillery instructor, with the rank of master-gunner } was subsequently given commissioned rank, and joined the instructional staff, being for some time Acting-Director of Artillery. Captain Richardson later left New Zealand for a course at the Cam* berley Staff College, England, and subsequently succeeded Colonel A. W.
