GOEBEN AS MINE-LAYER
TWO STEAMERS DESTROYED. (Received October 31, 9 a.m.J PETROGRAD, 30th October. The Russian steamer Yalta struck a mine laid by the Goeben. The crew and passengers were saved. The Careb, which was going to the assistance of the Yalta, struck two mines and also sank. Several of her crew were drowned.
