ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES (IT TRI EORApn— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Heavy rain fell yesterday and during | the night, taking the sting out of the ground. A lot ot useful work was registered at Ellerslie this morning. All work of imjiortaace was registered on the outside of the course proper, which was in dplendid order. Gold Lac and Rector Girl went five furlongs from the aew post in lmin Bsec. The two-year-old did not finish well. Monojack alone, with a light i weight up, traversed a round in, 2min 2 l-ssec, the fastest gallop of the morning. Bluestone went four furlongs in 53 3-ssec, Goldsize a round in 2min 3sec, tiring somewhat at the finish. Prince Soult beat Kaween over six furlongs in lmin 2 3-ssec. Royal Irish was a length in front of Allegation, with Soldier beaten off, at the end of a round run in. 2min 4scc, the latter taking 2min 9sec. Jack Delaval galloped seven furlongs easily in lmin 55sec. Hadj, with the assistance of Sir Deil over the last four, went six furlongs in lmin. 21 4-ssec. Soultikoff and Tragedy King 'finished together at the end of a round in 2min 7sec. Goldfire did the same distance in the same time. After breakfp^t Spalfish, Signature, and Oration were in that order at the end of seven furlongs, in lmin 36sec. Christmas Rose went live furlongs from the new post in lmin 5 2-ssoc. Chime did the same task in lmin 6 4>ssec. King's Courtier went three furlongs on the two-year-old track in 37 l-ssec. Patronale went five furlongs from the new post in lmin 5 2-ssec. Tangiwai and Phosphorous were together at the end of seven furlongs, covered in lmin 35 1-Ssec. Gloy beat Devastation over aniile from the new post in lmin Slsec. Tinaka beat Biaogne over three furlongs on the two-year-old track in 38 l-ssec. King Try, St. Helena, and Centenary finished in .that order at the end of five hurdles. Monathol did the same | task. Ruffy jumped the big fences in the centre of the course. Kanroa, Mollyhawk, aud Sportsman went a round of tho big country, fencing well. Soldier (7.2) v-as omitted from the acceptances fo» thti Citj Handicap. King Chiara, Advancer, Ratana, Grattan, Fisher, Ineuru, and .Bercola arrived this morning.
