YESTERDAY'S GAMES Ideal weather for bowling was experienced yesterday, and all 'the greens in the city and suburbs were well patronised. WELLINGTON CLUB. A progressive pairs tournament was played on the Wellington Club's green. In the skips L. Blundell and D. Miller tied with five games each out of six, and the play-off was won by L. Blundell. Jeffries (lead) won his six games. The greens wert in beautiful ordei, and tho games, which were very keenly contested, aroused a great deal of interest among the spectators. HUTT AND PETOxNE. Progressive pairs tournaments were also held on the Hutt and Petone gieens, no less than thirty-two of '.he latter club's players competing in the event. The skips was won by Mr. C. H. Beynon and the leads by Mr. 0. T. Bargb—^each with six games. HATAITAI BOWLING CLUB. Eight pairs entered for a progressive pairs game played on the Hataitai Club's green, and the following skips and leads tied for first place :— Skips, M'Whannell, Nasmith. and Martin ; leads, Hendry, Penney, and Shepherd, with three wins each. The following rink will represent tho club against Victoria to-mor-row .—Cole, Donald, Pryor, Barnes (skip). The rinks selected to play against Karori on Saturday are : — Away : A. Claridge, Shepherd, Bailey, M'Whannell (skip) ; Halliday, D. Claridge, Pryor, Penney (skip) ; Williams, Rhodes, Martin, Nasmith (skip). At ( home: Ward, Kinniburgh, Hendry, 'Barnes (skip) ; Slater, Cheeseman, Grnar, Mitchell (skip). VICTORIA CLUB. A rink tournament played by the Victoria Club yesterday resulted : — Varcoe, 4 wins ; Snaddon, 4 j Langdon, 4 ; Menelaus, 3 ; F North 2 ; Scott, 1 ; Ingram, 1;_1 ;_ Hemmingway, 1.
