Tho change in the weather predicted by the Government Meteorologist is taking place, and We are to expect a stormy night. Tho bad weather, however, will not last long. Thero will bo strong westerly winds, changing to southerly, and some littlo rain may fall, but tho expectations in that direction arc not very strong. The forecast is for heavy showers in the west coast and southern districts of tho South Island, and for I dry north-wester in Canterbury.
