RATHER PREMATURE

"PARIS 1814-1914." LONDON, 22nd September. A bag belonging to a Prussian officer captured at Verdun contained a number of iron crosses inscribed "Ppris 18141914," and were intended as souvenirs on the entry into Paris. These have been distributed among British and French soldiers.
