TOO BIG A TASK
FOR SCHOOLS' REPRESENTATIVES. A_ team selected from the "Fifth B Division met the chosen of the Schools Grade at Duppa-street on Saturday. The B's proved altogether too heavy for the Schools and won easily by four goals to one. The feature of the game was the splendid defensive work of Jones on the Schools' side, who repeatedly broke up the attack. For the B's, O'Leary scored- three goals and Seaton. one, while Schools' score came from a penalty kick taken by Pitt just at the end of the play. The Schools team, leave on Thursday next for Blenheim to play a representative team, returning on Saturday. JUNIOR ' FOTJRTH CLASS. The match, Star v. Marist B, was won by Star by 3 goals to 1 goal. For the victors Ruddle got 2 goals and Gruar 1 goal. O'Connor scored for Marist. FIFTH A DIVISION. Marist defeated Karori by 4 goals to 1. M'Elligot (2), Scanlon, arid Fitzgerald scored for Marist, who have an eightpoint lead for the championship. SIXTH A DIVISION. South Wellington drew with Kelburn — 2 goals each. SIXTH B DIVISION. V.M.C.A. drew with Congregationalno score. St. Thomas's beat Marist (T), by 4 goals to nil. Grenside, Faber, Cooper, and Hart were the scorers.
