JUNIOR CHALLENGE CUP

WON BY ST. DAVID'S. St. David's and Brooklyn, the two remaining teams in the competition for the Second Division Challenge Cup, put forth their respective claims on th« Basin 'Reserve on Saturday. The match wae played as a curtain-raiser to the Charity Cup final, and served to show that some excellent material is in the making for firet division football. One of the chief features of a keenlyfought game was the combined work of the St. David's team, and it was their superiority in this department that gave them the victory:- Right from the commencement they went out to win, while, on the other hand, Brooklyn were rather slow to get moving, with the result that when the second 6pell was started, they had a deficit of four goalfi to make up. In their effort to achieve this they were partially successful, in that they held a. distinct advantage, but the required number of goals was not forthcoming, and defeat met them by four goals to one. The scorers were: For St. David's Walker (2), Parkin, and Powell; for Brooklyn, Reid. Mr. H. Yeoman refereed.
