LODGE MEETINGS
♦ The weekly meeting of the Star of Wellington Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held in St. Potor's Mission Hall. Taranaki -street, ou Thursday, Bro. R. Rigarlsford, P.C.T., presiding. Sisters Mitchell and Wilkinson, from Nelson, were given a cordial welcome. The evening's programme consisted of comic readings and also a competition on street names. Sister Hanley being the winner. Sisters Clark and Fabian were thanked for providing the entertainment. Bro. G. Meston, who is leaving with the Expeditionary Force, was wished God-speed and a safe return. Next meeting will be iv charge of the Pioneer Lodge. The weekly j;cssion of the Pioneer Lodge, _ 1.0. G.T., was held in the Rechabite Chambers, Manners-street, on Monday evening, Sister Mrs. Miller presiding, m the absence of Bro. Petherick, C.T. The item of the evening was "Dutch auction." One new m&mber was initiated. Two sisters were welcomed from the Loyal Nelson Lodge, and a naval brother from the Lily of the Valley. The Excelsior Lodge of Druids held its summoned quarterly meeting in Carlton Hall. A. D. Bro. Woodham presided over a Jarge attendance of mem' bers and visitors. The receipts of .the previous meeting amounted to £32* 6a lid. The bards reported on sick mem bers and sick nay, and accounts to the amount of £292 2s 4d were passed. On* candidate was elected and initiated, P.D.P. Bro Johnston acting as M.C. Two new members were proposed. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the visitors, coupled with the names of D.P. Bro. Edge and V.A. .Bro. M«haney, Prid® of Brooklyn Lodge
