HIGHLAND SOCIETY'S CONCERT
By an unfortunate error it w&s »n--nounced in The Post yesterday that the Highland .Society's grand concert would take place last night instead of Saturday night, the date advertised. A number of people who read the explanatory paragraph were consequently put to an inconvenience, which we regret exceedingly. The concert will be held in the Town Hall to-morrow night under the patronage of Their Excellencies the Earl and Countess of Liverpool in aid Of the Mayor's Patriotic Fund. Thft Hon. J. G. W. Aitken will preside, and it is expected that the Prime Minister and other Cabinet Ministers will be present. The programme is full and varied, including bagpipe selections by the Wellington Pipe Band, Highland and other dances by a number of ladies and gentlemen, songs by prominent vocalists of the city, instrumental solos and other musical items. The box plan is at the Dresden, and no extra charge will b© made for reserved seats. Tickets may be obtain* ed at the society's offices* 31, Panama* street,
