At the inquest regarding the death of the youth Frank Englebretsen, the evidence showed that four lads went shooting in the bush at Terehunga, and then decided to play at "bushrangers." While doing so one named Marshall shot at Englebretsen at a' distance of a few yards with a small shot gun', with fatal results. A verdict was returned that death had been caused by a shot fared by Marshall. The Coroner expressed a hope that this would be a warning to those who were in the habit of playing with firearms.
