RUSSIA'S INTERVENTION. WILL BE FOLLOWED BY - GERMANY'S. (Received July 27, 11.10 a.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, 26th July. Thjs Zemstchina says', that Russia's intervention will be followed by Germany's and will result in the biggest upheaval since Napoleon. , The Kurier says the only response worthy of Russia is immediate mobilisation on' the Austrian frontier aa an emphatic declaration that Servia must not stand alone. Other newspapers declare that Russia cannot be indifferent to Sei-via's fate. ( _ The Novoe Vremya, in a defiant article, declares that Austria must deal with Russia unless the ultimatum is withdrawn j also because it is really directed against Russia. FRENCH PAPERS CONDEMN AUSTRIAN NOTE AUSTRIA'S CHOSEN MOMENT. PARIS, 25th July. The Press generally condemns the Austrian Note. The Debats declares that should Servia be forced into war she will not appeal vainly for support to the Powers, who wish to maintain the balance of power at all costs. Most of the newspapers remark that Austria has chosen a moment when President Poincare and M. Viviani, Prime Minister, are absent; when Russia is involved in industrial turmoil, and Britain is involved in the Ulster trouble. President Poincare, who has visited Russia, and is taking Norway on his way back, has been requested by telegraph by the French Government to abandon his visit to Stockholm and hasten back to Paris.
