EXPLOSION ON A CHINESE GUNBOAT
THIRTY-FIVE CADETS KILLED. \ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received July 13, 2 p.m.) SHANGHAI, 12th July. An explosion occurred underneath the sleeping quarters of the Chinese gunboat Tung-chio, off the Kiangnan Arsenal. Thirty-five cadets were killed. The cause of the explosion is a mystery.
