WELLINGTON LEAGUE. FIRST ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual meeting of the newlyformed, Wellington Baseball League was held in the V.M.C.A. rooms last night. There was a big attendance, and Dr. L. C. Hales presided. The, Victorian Baseball League . and Sjklding Bros. (Sydney) wrote offering congratulations on the formation of the league. CONSTITUTION AND RULES. , The chairman of the sub-committee set up to prepare the rules and bylaws of the league and rules to govern tho competitions submitted the result of the committee's labours. The matters covered by the rules included delegates, subscriptions, powers of management, uniforms, and disputes and appeals. OFFICE-BEARERS. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows :— Patron, His Excellency the Governor (subject to approval) ; president, Mr. A. E. Whyte; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. \V. Woolley, J. P. Luke, J. E. Evans. E. 0. Hales, A. A. Bennett, O. P. Skerrett, Colonel F. J. Courtney, Major 11. S. Petherick, and Dr. Newman ; delegates, Messrs. E. Perry, J. M'Donald. and Dr. Hales (Central), M'Clintock, Harrison, and Jensen (Newtown), J. Burry, H. Paisley, and W. Land (V.M.C.A.), M'Phee and Berlin (Seatoun), Hall, M'Nicol, and Morris (Kilbirnie), Gibbs, Scrymgeour, and Asher (D Battery), Dr. L. P. Ilayward, Willis , and Aird (Thorndon), G. Bradley, W. Wilson, and L. Webb (Athletic) ; management committee. Dr. Hales (chairman) and Messrs. Webb, Hall, Morris, M'Donald, Asher, Harrison, M'Clintock, Willis, Nicholl, and Perry; treasurer, Mr. Asher. The secretary announced that members of the league could obtain practice at the Duppa-street ground on Wednesdays aiid at iMiramar on Saturdays. <
